What makes this cooking course different from hundreds of
others? -- It takes place at The Beach House Inn, a small
4 star, coastal Inn on the edge of a picturesque fishing village
on one of the world's prettiest islands. The class size is
small and personal (8-12) and the seafood you'll be cooking
is some of the best in the world. - Fundy Salmon, Malpeque
oysters (the only sweet oyster), 'gold medal' blue mussels,
and famous P.E.I. lobsters. Garden produce and those amazing
PEI potatoes will be at their peak in the fall and the visual
mix of the island's red soil and the autumn colors will create
spectacular vistas.
Who's Brenda: - Brenda's a visual artist who
after 6 yrs. in the business, purchased the Beach House 16
yrs. ago and began designing visual arts workshops and cooking
for the students. Since those early beginnings she's cooked
and studied cooking in more than 11 countries and taken 'hands-on'
culinary programs from well-known chefs in Ontario, PEI, Ireland
and Provence, in southern France.
Brenda designed and taught more than 40 weeks of the popular
'Catch & Cook' and often had over 100 students on the
waiting list. She will once again offer a five-day programs
to the general public in 2004.
Her course offers a well planned mixture of 'hands on' projects
that are fun for all levels of culinary expertise. - beginner
